Paradise. That’s how many people view Hawaii, the 50th and final state admitted into the United States. After all, how many other states have perfect weather, gorgeous beaches, stunning ocean, and scenic backdrops that look too perfect to be real? Hawaii is the only state made up entirely of islands, including the major six of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and the island of Hawaii (otherwise known as The Big Island).
The Big Island is by far Hawaii’s largest island, as it is bigger than the others combined. “The Aloha State,” as Hawaii is known, is the only U.S. state that is completely surrounded by water, is an archipelago and isn’t actually located geographically in North America. Besides Alaska, Hawaii is the only state that does not border another U.S. state. The capital of Hawaii, Honolulu, is located on the island of Oahu and is also the state’s most populated city. After all, who wouldn’t want to relocate to paradise?
